Thank You!

Dear Readers
Many thanks for your amazing support which you have already shown towards both our projects and Zimbabwe. Please bare with us, over the next few days whilst we are up dating our Blog both with further information as well as photos. Not only am I not the world’s greatest technology wiz but Zimbabwe is experiencing both a go slow from the internet world as well as a fair amount of power cuts!!!
Right now Zimbabwe is a country who needs not only positive thoughts from around the world but for people to know that there are still people within Zimbabwe who believe in this country and the importance of her wildlife. Zimbabwe has been the fore runner in the conservation world for many years and we all look forward to that time once again.

Hi Lisa, I avidly read your previous posts and your touching tribute to your dad. Like all of us, we worry about the fate of all wildlife in this ever changing world. Very upset to hear the serval is in trouble. Some of the lesser known cats in South America will soon be extinct (Fishing Cat, Marguay, and Ocelot). Lisa, how are Caracals doing? In a leaping into the air contest, who jumps higher, a serval or a caracal?

Lisa, thanks for your email and answering my questions. So, the serval jumps higher! There was a special on Animal Planet about Africa’s secretive seven. Most of your animals on this blog were included. They included the porcupine on their list.Fascinating stuff as I had never even heard of the pangolin!

Hey Lisa, one more thing. Have you ever heard of the Sand Cat? It is native to Iraq! They are the funniest looking critters with saucer shaped eyes and very wide faces. They weigh about 5-6 pounds and are very feisty! Go to the website, BIG CAT RESCUE to see their pictures. The care takers say they would rather be in an enclosure of lions then with these little guys!
